The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate to join the Real Estate practice within the Commercial Lending Department of its New York office. The team advises banks, insurance companies, institutional lenders and the finance arms of major conglomerates on a wide range of lending and investment matters.
The successful candidate will work on construction and permanent financings across asset classes including multi family developments, hotels, energy facilities, mixed use projects and medical office buildings.
The role will include
- Real estate finance work drafting and negotiating mortgages and other core real estate documents
- Loan documentation reviewing, drafting and negotiating loan agreements, guaranties and related financing materials
- Real estate closings managing all aspects of real estate closings for lender and investor clients
- Stakeholder engagement working with banks, institutional investors, developers, landlords, credit tenants and real estate investors
- Transaction management handling fast?paced matters and balancing multiple projects and deadlines
Required
- Two to six years of real estate finance experience
- Familiarity with mortgages, loan agreements, guaranties and real estate closings
- Admission in good standing or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar
